Pi-hsien Chen Piano Recital

Concert Hall, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Hong Kong

Highlights

An extraordinary evening celebrating the intersection of classical and contemporary piano repertoire. This special recital commemorates the 100th anniversary of Pierre Boulez’s birth, featuring works that the composer himself admired alongside Pi-hsien Chen’s acclaimed 2024 complete Beethoven Sonatas recordings performed live.

The program opens with Bach’s luminous Partita No. 4, establishing a dialogue through time that continues with Beethoven’s final piano sonata, Op. 111.
